We improve local, organic, and sustainable food system infrastructure across the Carolinas.  The Organic Carolinas Initiative (OCI) is our flagship food systems project and aims to establish a world-class organics industry in the Carolinas.  Additional initiatives develop and support self-sustaining food projects, address local produce safety, and expand markets through improved access to direct consumers and institutional buyers.

Our programming includes:

• Organic Carolinas Initiative to provide a comprehensive approach to building the organic agriculture community in the Carolinas,
• Food Projects to start up small-scale projects that build local food infrastructure and increase access to sustainable, organic foods, including Carolina Ground and Cobblestone Farmers Markets.
• Local Food Marketing to promote the benefits of local, organic agriculture and connect growers and consumers.
