Patient Wait Farm is long-time dream of a Jersey Girl who found home in the SC Upstate. Gail and her understanding husband/farm hand, Mike, strive to provide a sustainable farm with high quality products, animals and service to the community.
It all began with a couple of horses in the pasture, a pet goat -- and a desire to take an active role in food choices and the enivronment. They started raising heritage turkeys after Gail searched in vain for a healthier (and tastier!) turkey raised in the Upstate to serve for Thanksgiving. When unable to purchase locally, and with a "can-do" attitude, the family embarked on a quest to not only raise their own holiday fare, but to share with the community. Now Patient Wait also provides local farmers an alternative to the broad-breasted production bird and helps the homesteader with raising their own poultry. Meet their Animal Welfare Approved birds at OktoberFresh!
