Farmer-to-Farmer Host Program
Staying at a local farm can help farmers reduce travel expenses who otherwise may not be able to attend the conference
and is also a valuable opportunity to share experiences and trade knowledge. If you live in the Durham area and
would like to offer your home/farm as a potential farmer host site, or if you are in need of such a place to stay, please
email cheryl@carolinafarmstewards.org or call (919) 542-2402 and we will try to match those needing accommodations.
Ride Share Bulletin Board
Carpooling is an environmentally responsible, cost effective and potentially fun way of getting to the conference!
If you are traveling by yourself and would like to give someone a ride, or do not have transportation to the conference
and would like to find someone with whom you could carpool, please contact the CFSA office to sign up on our
ride-share bulletin board. Email cheryl@carolinafarmstewards.org or call (919) 542-2402 and we will attempt to help
find a carpool match for you. Your CFSA chapter listserv is also an excellent forum to request or offer carpooling to the
conference! |
