|Farm Description – Basic information about what is produced on your farm.:||East Fork Farm is a forty acre family run farm that specializes in raising healthy meats using sustainable practices. On the farm, we have grassfed lamb and beef, pastured poultry for meat and eggs, pastured pork, farm raised rabbits, pond raised trout, and have a gristmill to grind corn. We sell at the North Asheville Tailgate Market and at our farm store.|

|Job/Internship Description:||Farm apprentices are involved in all farm activities, including animal management (poultry, sheep, cows, pigs, rabbits), butchering, fencing, pasture management, operating the gristmill, gardening, running a farmers market stand, agri-tourism and vacation cottages. They work with us in the field and on the farm, five full days a week. Our apprenticeship will give you first-hand knowledge of what it takes to run your own farm.|
|Job/Internship Start & End Dates:||March 1 – November 22|
|Qualifications:||Previous farm experience is not required. Eagerness to learn, work outside, eat well, and care for animals is required.|
|Salary/Compensation:||$400 stipend per month with an increase in $25 each month|
