We recommend bringing a serious appetite along for this Eastern Triangle Farm Tour adventure trail, happening Sept. 17-18 from 1-5 PM! Located just about 30 minutes from the triangle, all three farms in this cluster will offer delicious bites, so bring a cooler and come hungry. Start the afternoon at Rare Earth Farms (the farm with a food truck!) to learn about their pasture management systems and enjoy a mouthwatering grass-fed beef burger. Next, head to Vollmer farm, a fifth generation family farm offering certified organic produce with a focus on family fun farm activities. Finish your tour of this cluster with a visit to Fat Radish Farm to catch their post tour hours Saturday evening bonfire & cookout (and overnight camping for farm tour goers who want an extended experience!).
Rare Earth Farms
Rare Earth is the farm with a food truck! Bring your cooler for meat and eggs and come hungry for our grass-fed burgers and hand-cut fries. Farmers Karl Hudson and Mann Mullen have teamed up to raise all-natural, heritage pork and Animal Welfare Approved & Certified grass-fed beef. Their farm management and animal husbandry standards are designed to provide a low stress environment for the animals (read – happy cows!), resulting in high quality all natural beef. Visitors can take a hayride to see the cows and pigs and learn about the farm philosophy on the humane treatment of animals and the value of all-natural and grass-fed proteins.
