Below are answers to the most frequently asked farm tour questions.

REGISTRATION

What’s the cancellation policy?
Registrants must submit their notice of cancellation in writing to info@carolinafarmstewards.org no later than one week before the event for a full refund of registration fees, less a 10% administration and processing fee.

In the event you cannot attend an event you have registered for due to unforeseen circumstances beyond your control and the deadline for a full refund has passed, please contact CFSA. Examples may include but are not limited to natural disasters or family emergency.

Do you have volunteer opportunities?
We do. Please check available slots here.

Do farm passes extend to groups of cyclists?
Absolutely! If you prefer to ride your bicycle instead of driving, we will gladly extend the offer to cycling groups.

Is a farm tour button and pass the same thing?
Absolutely. Everyone who purchases entry to the Piedmont Farm Tour will receive a button.

  • If you purchase in person, you’ll receive a button upon purchase.
  • If you purchase online, you’ll receive a button at the first farm you visit. Please bring verification of purchase (a confirmation email printed out or on your phone is just fine).

FARMS

Are there different farms on the farm tour each year?
As an annual event—27 years and running!—which farms participating in the farm tour ebbs and flows with the seasons. With life changes, attending markets, or crop shifts, farmers constantly balance many factors to open their barn doors and field gates to the public each April.

TOURING

Do you have any tips on taking the farm tour?
We sure do! See our tips and tricks on how to take the tour.

Does the tour happen rain or shine?
Indeed, the farm tour happens regardless of the weather.

Can I bring my dog?
Please do not bring your dog or any other animals on the farm tour.

GENERAL

How do I get a farm tour t-shirt? Are they for sale?
