High tunnels allow farmers to extend their season, grow specialty crops, reduce disease, and much more! We help farmers all along the way—from site selection and installation to crop planning for efficient, profitable production and troubleshooting issues.

High tunnels have great possibilities, but finding and maximizing that possibility can be difficult and sometimes time-consuming.

Since 2016, CFSA’s high tunnel program has helped more than 100 farms across the Carolinas. We’ve seen a lot and would love to help your farm’s journey!

We assist in shortening the learning curve for new growers and advise experienced growers on more advanced production challenges.

Already Have a High Tunnel?

Each site has a unique set of factors. While your tunnel may be up and running, we help experienced growers refine and advance their production based on their farm and their tunnel’s specific needs.

  • Challenges with planting dates, pest pressure, and variety selection
  • Soil disturbance during the grading and installation process, as well as changes in runoff
  • Problems with irrigation and soil moisture that affect production and plant growth

Interested in high tunnels but not sure where to start?

That’s part of the technical assistance we provide! We’ll work with you to determine site selection, purchasing options, and installation.
