| Farm/Organization Description: | A year ago I was breeding and raising Red Wattle hogs and had a small flower farm on 24 acres in Oregon. I lost the farm and property due to unforeseeable circumstances and was forced to move. I relocated back to North Carolina, my home state, and decided to start again on my own on a small 1 acre farmstead. I am currently raising ducks, chickens and bees while rebuilding my flower inventory that was lost. I implement regenerative practices in all my work and biodynamic principles as a guideline to help plan and manage my calendar. These are practices I learned while working in the winemaking industry for 8 years in Oregon and working on a farm raising livestock. I would greatly appreciate any and all help to rebuild what was lost. If you can attend a dinner, I would love to welcome you to my home. If you are too far away, I would appreciate sponsorships for any of the current projects listed on my website. The dinners happen once a month on the full moon and a feature a small winery, some of which are my friends that are just starting their own labels. My goal right now is to rebuild my dahlia and peony inventory, grow other annuals for seeds, purchase supplies such as t-posts, soil amendments, electric fencing supplies, tools and other basic necessities. I hope that this time next year I will have enough to sell cut flowers to the wholesale market and bouquets direct to consumer. I would also like to be growing enough produce to cover the majority of the dinners on the farm, aside from proteins. Thank you so much for your considered support. |
