Save the Date for Earth Day Weekend 2025!

What is the Piedmont Farm Tour?

Each Earth Day weekend in late April, we partner with Weaver Street Market and farms across the Piedmont of North Carolina to visitors for a weekend of farm fun!

Whether you’re looking to better understand where your food comes from, behold (and potentially cuddle) cute farm animals, or have an opportunity to get outside and breathe the fresh air, there’s something for everyone on the Piedmont Farm Tour.

To get an idea of what we had in store this year, check out the tour brochure below and see the list of 29 farms on the 2024 tour.

Volunteers make the event seamless! We need over 80 volunteers each year to help on-site at farms! Volunteers receive a free, limited-edition Piedmont Farm Tour t-shirt and a tour pass to visit farms on the day they are not volunteering.

History

What started as a 14-farm tour in 1995 blossomed into the oldest and largest of its kind in the nation. Each year, the Piedmont Farm Tour draws thousands of visitors. CFSA has partnered with Weaver Street Market since the very first year. Together, we’re eager to connect as many of you as possible to the origins of your food, fibers, flowers, and fungi.

Thank you to our 27-year farm tour partner!
