Crowdfunding Campaign Name:Hurricane Helene Farm Relief
Crowdfunding Campaign Summary:Hurricane Helene caused catastrophic damage to Asheville NC, but left many farms in the foothills unscathed. We’re faced with an abundance of produce going into one of our most profitable times of year where fall income creates a winter finance buffer, but with the caveat that all sales outlets are closed or destroyed. Farm collaborators and I have pivoted to sending produce for donation to support disaster relief, but it’s a short-term solution that raises long term questions about the social and economic impacts of this storm.

My farm offers a CSA that feeds 100 Asheville families a week year-round, with organic produce from my farm and three local collaborator farms. We’re asking for those who are able to donate the equivalent amount of a weekly Veggie Box ($30) to help us continue to financially support one another’s farms and feed our customers for free, many of whom have lost everything.
