We have raised rare breed sheep for the past 20 years on our homestead in Snow Camp.

Job Description

We are looking for part-time (8hrs/wk) farm help as we get older. We are in southern Alamance County: 15-20 min. to Saxapahaw, Siler City and Pittsboro; 30 min. to Carrboro, Hillsborough and Mebane.

The 8 hours per week can be very flexible  – for ex.: working 4 hours one morning and 4 hours another afternoon, or working 8 hours in 1 day. The work mostly involves general farm maintenance including weed wacking, mowing, weeding, mulching, pulling up invasive species, digging ditches, repairing fences, cutting wood, possibly painting and general building work, etc. Looking for someone through Sept, possibly year-round.

Qualifications: We’re looking for someone who is honest, hardworking, reliable and easy to get along with. And they need to be physically strong enough to do things like dig ditches, be able to start and use a weedwacker, use a post-hole digger and sink T-posts with a driver, and lift 60 lb. hay bales and bags of feed.
