Previously, we’ve organized two farm tours a year around North Carolina’s Triangle region: the Piedmont Farm Tour in the spring and the Eastern Triangle Farm Tour in the late summer. We’ve partnered with Weaver Street Market since the very first year of the Piedmont to present the tour, and we were thrilled to have them as our Eastern Triangle Farm Tour partner in 2017.

With Weaver Street Market as our co-sponsor for both tours, it allowed us to think about the ways a unified farm tour could help bring even more people out to the Triangle’s diverse sustainable and organic farms. This year we’re merging the two as one large farm tour in the spring while keeping the Piedmont Farm Tour name. The tour will span a weekend, April 28-29 from 2 – 6 p.m. both days.

Our hope in consolidating the tours is that it will open up even more farms on a single weekend. This year marks the 23rd Piedmont Farm Tour, the oldest farm tour of its kind in the country. We want as many people as possible to get the most out of connecting with the source of their food.
