Farmers play a vital role in the fight against climate change. Unpredictable and extreme weather conditions affect your farm and put the nation’s food security at risk. Yet the solutions are right in front of us.

We can build healthy soils, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and protect natural resources by adopting sustainable and organic farming practices. By multiplying these practices, we can avoid the worst effects of the climate crisis.

The 2023 Farm Bill means it’s an important year to act, and we have an easy way for you to start! You can support a critical letter we will use in national advocacy efforts toward a climate-smart 2023 Farm Bill.

Please sign a letter that the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition is circulating calling for real action on the climate crisis by supporting the inclusion of the Agriculture Resiliency Act in the farm bill. Your voice, expertise, and environmental commitment will make a difference.

Take action to ensure a secure future for our planet and its people.

We want 2,000 U.S. farmers to sign this letter to show that we need action now to combat climate change and make agriculture more resilient.

This is an opportunity for farmers only. Politicians assume that farmers oppose action on climate change, and this campaign is intended to prove the conventional wisdom wrong.

If you are a gardener, service provider, advocate, or organic consumer, please share this sign-on opportunity with the farmers in your networks or at farmers’ markets or farmstands where you shop.

CFSA thanks farmers for what they do every day to care for people and the planet, and for joining in this vital campaign!

The CFSA Policy Team will deliver the letter and signatures to North and South Carolina Congressional offices during the upcoming Farmers for Climate Action: Rally for Resilience, March 6-8.

Thanks for taking action!
